Engine mounting

loads of worn areas on frame and engine from previous loose mountings.  Will have to reweld some and maybe make up some new spacers to suit.

turned the engine over on the kickstart and compression seems low but now it feels like its building. compression tester on the way. Hopefully it all just needs to settle after the new rings and valve springs went in. We'll see.

Hong Kong, Friday

Started with a coffee over the road, then headed up to the peak on the funicular. Good views and great to compare the cityscape with old photos from the 1930s. Went for lunch in the Central district and now I'm sat half way up the escalator drinking happy hour mojito with my beautiful girl.

Thursday night

Back on the island,  rode the escalator to the mid-levels. Stopped for dim-sum.  Very good. Then grabbed cakes and cocktails on our way back down to central.

Big Budda

Day three; Jenny and Adam take a bus to see Big Budda!

Hong Kong day 3, Thursday

Out of bed at the crack of noon and starving! A couple of blocks down the road and we are sag in the flying pan waiting for our breakfast. Coffee just arrived. Mmmm, sgood

Hong Kong day 2, Wednesday

Late breakfast /lunch at coffee shop. Walked through Kowloon park. Had the strongest cup of tea at cafe corral, then went to temple street night market for angry bird toys and street food. Very good. Then back to the avenue of stars for the light show over on the island. Back to the hotel for some weird anti jet lag no sleep till 6am action.

Hong Kong day 1, Tuesday

Arrived in HK,  found the hotel then had a walk around wan chai, before grabbing some thai food across the street. Mmmm

A Start

I've just made my first bread starter. Should be ready to make my first loaf with it next weekend. Watch this space. I'm currently following the guidance given in the Tartine Bread book that I got a week or two ago.

CB 750 Scrambler

Saw this on Derestricted. Really like the rear frame work. Tidy lighting and plate bracket. Tasty seat too.

New SR500 swingarm from Kedo

Received this in the post today from Kedo. Just taken the frame to the shotblasters. When it's done I can get on with welding the broken brackets back on. Once I've bought a welder that is!

The plan

Capture my thoughts and measure the outcomes. What are the underlying
themes. Where are the interests. How can I leverage these? What's the
plan?

Thoughts I need to write down
